“Our first P-TECH Collaboration Day for 2019 was held at McCarthy Catholic College on the 15th February. Our Telstra and PWC Industry Partners shared their knowledge and skill sets with our students as their investigated their Driving Questions for their STEM Challenges.
Our Collaboration Day Driving Questions:
Q. How can you use drone technology to assist companies in the delivery of goods and services?
Q. What technology can we use to make public transport safer?
Our P-TECH partners aided our students to see the world as fundamentally changing in the face of disruptive innovation, dynamic data and digital technology. Australians must think differently about the skills we need to succeed in the future, and how we can work together to create a workforce fit for the future. P-TECH is part of a collaborative approach to address our future skills challenge and we are working with our client, government, education and business partners to equip a new generation of problem solvers and innovators – with essential skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Our students were able to investigate Drone Technology, STEM career options in the Greater Western Sydney area and future construction skills.”
